Manhattan Comfort Rockefeller 3-Drawer Bedroom Dresser
Color
We absolutely love this dresser in the off-white/nature color combination. White has always been in vogue and with a careful mix of other furniture and design elements, your bedroom can be a bright space. White also conveys a sense of purity, cleanliness, and peacefulness.
The Manhattan Comfort dresser does come in other colors like full white, brown, black, nature/rose pink, nature/textured grey, off white, and midnight blue. We generally are biased to brighter, whiter colors to brighten up any home. The risk of mismatched colors is always high in the absence of a showroom floor. Our next best color option was the nature/textured grey for a particular pattern/color that is popular in modern bedrooms with balconies and large window doors.
Design Material
Crafted with durable medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and metal, the dresser is composed of engineered wood that is a higher grade or quality than plywood. It is stronger and has more density. MDF does replace solid wood because it offers the same quality at a cheaper price.
We absolutely love the matte/flat gold hairpin legs on this product and yes, it does come with furniture grippers to avoid scratches to naked flooring. The legs give off a modern, stylish quality from traditional, thick, stumpy, and boring dresser legs. The design proudly symbolizes a classic style with a modern touch.
Dresser Functionality
The dresser top also has considerable width that it could support a television but we do not recommend this. Most flat-screen televisions now come with wall-framing features to minimize presence and space. Our recommended options include a mid-century modern lamp, vase, sentimental framed photos, or very small, stylized book-ends.
The dresser is designed with three drawers and while some customers complained they’re too shallow, a mid-century modern dresser should encourage homeowners to downsize on clutter and items that are no longer of use.
Installation
When we look at affordable furniture, we look to ease of installation as part of our decision. Based on our research and feedback from other consumers, Manhattan Comfort’s bedroom dresser ranks high for ease installation, only requiring a drill or screwdriver to assemble each piece into the pre-drilled holes.
Modway Origin Contemporary 6-Drawer Bedroom Dresser
The Modway Origin Six-Drawer bedroom dresser is a beautiful extension to your bedroom. With ample storage capacity, you may be able to get rid of extra dresser units to free up bedroom space.
The beautifully rounded corners and two-toned detail express mid-century appeal with contemporary design finishes. The design is fitting for a bedroom, living space, dining room, or home entryway.
Like the Manhattan Comfort dresser top, you can enhance with a framed photos, refined vases, stylish bookends, or consumer electronics that do not clutter.
Modway Origin’s masterpiece style gives off a healthy vibe that is mid-century, modern and sleek, contemporary, retro, and screams Scandinavian decor to a tee.
Installation
This product does require installation and maybe a bit more challenging for some people but it assembles nicely with a power drill and some patience. Even though it is made of medium-density fiberboard (MDF), it is not heavy.
Assembly instructions come with photos which helps avoid IKEA-like confusion from unclear drawings and parts are clearly labeled. Missing parts and instructions should be addressed with Amazon first to expedite any issues with the manufacturer.

In the Final Analysis
Mid-century designs continue to attract new customers with each passing decade. Our suggested bedroom dressers fall on the lower end of the pricing scale but offer a sturdy and reliable design that will allow you to experiment.
We really need to thank Mad Men and Herman Miller for entertaining the home retail market in the mid-1990s. They had mainly focused on office furniture for more than three-decade since the 90s and did take notice of a trend: people were beginning to work from home, thanks to technology, and were designing their own home offices.
The home office trend convinced Herman Miller to set up an e-commerce operation in 1998 and sell directly to consumers. Copycat products convinced strong retail brand furniture manufacturers to widen their markets beyond corporate retail.
At the time of this writing, the world continues to fight for a return to normalcy from the COVID19 pandemic. The pandemic created another shockwave, fueling the home office trend once again, and an emerging backyard office trend to support remote office work. The infectious mid-century modern and contemporary styles of yesteryear have proven to be popular for offices and residential homes, and condominiums.
We have to thank Herman Miller for its foresight to re-introduce classic designs from its own archives in the 1990s.
